Welcome to Year 2 Willow Class.
We are taught by Miss Hathaway and Mrs Roscoe.
For our Summer Term topic, we will be engaging with a brand new Knowledge Rich Project called 'Coastline'. It's time to travel around the UK coastline as we learn about the geographical and scientific features which make our bays, beaches and cliff faces such special, beautiful places. (Miss Hathaway and Mrs Roscoe are very excited to teach this one!). Get your magnifying glasses at the ready, as we become expert map readers and explore the position of various coastal locations. We'll also be exploring the coastal town of Whitby, in Yorkshire in great detail and... if possible (dependent upon government guidelines) Miss Hathaway is doing her very best to get us a class trip to the coast :). Fingers crossed everyone, we will keep you updated!
Please ensure that you have paid for our St Anne's Beach trip before Wednesday 23rd June.
All info on this can be found on the recent email sent out to parents .

Whilst we are now returning to school, it is still likely that your children will be accessing lots of learning, games and apps online. The fact sheet below has been produced to offer support to parents in keeping their children safe as they work, learn and access activities online. Continue to talk to your children about staying safe online, we will also add regular updates to ClassDojo so that you are able to mirror the same messages being delivered at school. Remember, if you are unsure about something online... tell a trusted grown-up!
Please ensure that your child brings a suitable P.E kit to school, each week. We recommend joggers/shorts, a t-shirt (these can be purchased in your child's house colour, from Bulldog Fashion), a fleece or jacket and pumps/trainers. If possible, please don't send in denim items for your child, the fabric can restrict their movement and make them hot and sweaty. Please ensure school shoes are plain, black, flat soled and not open toe. If your child is unable to tie their own laces, Velcro is more suitable. Thanks!
As always, if you have any questions, we are available to talk each night after school. With current restrictions, please keep in touch via ClassDojo and we are happy to give you a call if you have anything you wish to discuss .
We are still unable to allow parents into the school building, so please ensure that your child is ready and prepared for school, with everything they will need for the day to limit the number of people coming to the school office.
Thanks so much, Miss Hathaway and Mrs Roscoe
