This was our first week back in school after such a long time, so we wanted to share our experiences with you. We know that we won’t be able to include everything, but we would love to give you a taste of what life is like in Year 6 at Gamesley Primary School this year. Mainly, we would like to share our highlights and our key learning for this term!
As this is our first blog post, we should probably explain a little bit about our classes. In Gamesley, Year 6 is made up of two classes (called Ash and Oak) and we have separate classrooms next door to each other. We were a little nervous when we started back in school on Monday; some of us haven’t even been into the building in over three months! But now that we’re back, and used to the changes, we are excited to start our first topic: Tomorrow’s World.
In our new topic we are most excited to learn about technology and emails, so we'll know what to do if we get an email at home. Even though this is the first week back, we have already learnt a lot about technology. So far, we have done time lines, paragraphs, grammar and lots of other stuff!
Can't wait to write again,
Jack and the rest of Year 6
